MTF Biologics Announces Technical Award Winners

Recovery partner organizations recognized for excellence in technical performance

 

Edison, NJ (May 2, 2023) MTF Biologics recently announced the winners of the 2022 Technical Awards. The awards were presented at the MTF Biologics Leadership Summit on May 2, 2023. This series of awards recognize excellence in tissue recovery services.

“MTF Biologics is proud to celebrate the achievements of our Recovery Partners in 2022 and their continued commitment to excellence in tissue recovery. The award winners have set a high standard for others to follow, and we are confident that their success will continue to inspire themselves and others to further success. The ongoing efforts of all our Recovery Partners are critical in allowing us to provide much-needed allografts to awaiting patients in their communities and globally,” said Mike Real, Vice President, Procurement.

TECHNICAL AWARDS

Golden Glove Award – In recognition of excellence in the sterile recovery of allografts for transplantation, presented to Donor Network of Arizona, Gift of Life Michigan, Live On Nebraska, and LifeCenter Northwest.

Golden Scalpel Award – In recognition of excellence in the recovery of soft tissue presented to Donor Network West and LifeCenter Northwest.

Golden Hourglass Award – In recognition of excellence in facilitating the release of donors presented to Lifebanc and LifeCenter Northwest.

Trinity Award – In recognition of excellence in the recovery of tissues needed to provide fresh Trinity allografts based on hemipelvis recovery rates and the bioburden rates presented to Versiti.

Knee En Block Award – In recognition of excellence in the recovery of tissues needed to provide fresh osteochondral allografts based on en-bloc recovery rates, bioburden rates, and the timely release of donor charts presented to Donor Network of Arizona.

Make it Happen Award – In recognition of excellence in tissue recovery that meets MTF Biologics’ current demand for allografts is presented to Lifebanc.

Emerald Award of Excellence – In recognition of achieving and maintaining best practice levels for the entire year of 2022 in key performance areas presented to Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency, DonorConnect, Donor Network of Arizona, Infinite Legacy, LifeShare Tissue Services, Live On Nebraska, Midwest Transplant Network, and Versiti.

Platinum Partner Award – In recognition of the recovery partner with the best overall performance in all critical technical categories, including donor release, bioburden results, soft tissue error rates, skin recovery, and hemipelvis and en-bloc recovery rates presented to Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency.

In addition to the Technical Awards, MTF Biologics presented recognition awards for all Partners who achieved best practice levels in any of the performance categories during 2022.
