MTF appoints Joseph Roth to Board of Directors

Edison, NJ, February 2017 — Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF) announced the appointment of Joseph Roth, President and CEO of NJ Sharing Network to the MTF Board of Directors.

“It’s a privilege to welcome Joe to the Board of Directors,” said Bruce Stroever, CEO of MTF. “Joe’s experience and understanding of the intricacies of organ and tissue donation and his commitment to excellence in service to donors, families and recipients will bring an added dimension to our Board.”

Mr. Roth has led the NJ Sharing Network for the past 19 years. He served as President of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) and served on the Board of Directors of the United Network for Organ Sharing. Roth received the prestigious AOPO/Cryolife Achievement Award and the AOPO President’s Award. Previously, Roth was Director of Government Affairs at Schering-Plough Corporation (now Merck) and prior to that served as Director, State and Community Affairs for the corporation. Before joining Schering-Plough, he held various positions in Sales, Marketing and Government Relations for Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis). Mr. Roth is a member of MTF’s Donation Board of Trustees and serves as the Chair of MTF’s Ethics Committee. Mr. Roth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology/zoology from the University of Maryland.

“I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors, helping to oversee MTF’s mission of providing the highest quality tissue grafts and advancing the science of transplantation,” stated Roth.
